The "Lightning Box" intelligent stair delivery robot successfully broke through the ladder control technology in Japan
In July 2023, Purdue Technology, the global leader in commercial service robots, successfully conducted a joint test with Japan's Otis Elevator Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Otis"). In this demonstration, Purdue's building distribution robot "Lightning Box" successfully achieved seamless integration with elevators in Japan through ladder control technology.
Lightning Box is a building delivery robot developed by Purdue for digital management and service improvement in hotels and office buildings, and will be available worldwide in 2021. Purdue has conducted multiple cloud integration tests between robots and elevators in combination with Otis Japan's integrated scheduling technology. By analyzing the differences in protocols between different elevators, the Lightning Box can automatically use elevators to transport goods between floors without human assistance. In addition, the Lightning Box improves the overall experience of employees and customers in hotels and office buildings through flexible obstacle avoidance and intelligent distribution services.

As an advanced building distribution robot, "Lightning Box" realizes seamless communication and operation instruction exchange through communication with elevators, gates, access control, etc., so as to complete cross-floor distribution service by autonomous escalator. Safety is a top priority for the Lightning Box, which is equipped with ultraviolet germicidal lamps in its cargo hold. The lamp has a bactericidal rate of up to 99.9%, so that users can use more peace of mind. In order to ensure a smooth and stable delivery experience, the "Lightning Box" is equipped with a newly upgraded 6-wheel gauge independent suspension, which changes the damping according to different road conditions and driving requirements, and the resonance frequency is controlled to the best state. It can cross 2cm obstacles and cross 3.5cm gaps, and the driving stability is greatly improved.
